"Today I marry my best friend."  This statement will definitely come true on June 28, 2014!

I met Brian more than 16 years ago through his sister, Rebecca, one of my best friends from the College of St. Rose.  Little did I know that when I attended his 15th birthday party that I would be meeting my future husband!

The Green family has always been an extended family to me, and we have shared many memories together -- Thanksgiving holidays, game nights, pizza parties, campfires, cookouts, and especially summers at the Cape.  Through all of these special times, Brian and I became closer and closer, laughing and talking together more and more.

In December of 2012, things started to change. Brian was a groomsman in his friends Josh and Jen's wedding, and he invited me to be his guest.  As we danced, drank, and laughed until dawn, I started to see him in a different light.

That same weekend, the health of Brian's mother, Martha, took a turn for the worse. Martha always was a second mom to me, so I felt honored to be with her and her  beautiful family for her last months.  As we were going through this, Brian and I spent even more time together.  I feel like she is the angel who brought us together.

On Valentines Day 2013,  Brian sent my favorite flowers, tulips, to school. On the card was written the lyrics to one of my favorite songs, "When You Wish Upon A Star."  The rest, you can say, is history.

As many saw even before we did, we are soulmates, and are so much in love. We can't wait to share our special day with all of our family and friends!

Our ceremony will be held at Anne's Washington Inn in Cara's adopted hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York. Since Cape Cod is such a special place to the both of us - we got engaged on Nauset Beach - look for lots of elements from the Cape incorporated into our wedding. Think of it as Cape Cod comes to Saratoga!

Following our ceremony, get ready to celebrate! We hope you bring your dancing shoes because if you've seen us at a wedding, you know to find us on the dance floor!  To give everyone input into the party, we will be asking for your favorite party song in your wedding invitation. These songs will be added to our reception playlist. Can't wait to see everyone get their groove on!

To give everyone energy for all that dancing, there will be lots to eat. The famous Augies of Ballston Spa will be catering, and the meal will be served family style. After some delicious desserts, Brian has a late night surprise  snack planned - and if you know him, you can probably guess what it is!

When planning a honeymoon, Cara wanted to go Disney World (a place she's dreamed of visiting sinice her family trip there was cancelled in third grade due to Hurricane Elena) and Brian wanted to take a cruise to a warm beach.  In the first of what is sure to be many compromises, we are doing both! Four days at Disney World and then a 4 day Disney Cruise to the Bahamas.  We are so excited! We leave on August 12 and return on August 21.

We would like to thank all of our dearest family and friends for simply being here for us. You have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives. We cherish the friendship and love you gave us, and continue to give to us. Thank you for visiting our wedding website and honeymoon registry. We can't wait to see you on June 28!
