From about  three months into our relationship we pretty much knew we were the ones for each other. From the time we met, we had talked about what we wanted our future to look like, marriage, kids, and the whole package.

During Britni's pregnancy there was alot of talk about marriage and we came to the conclusion that it should be for love and not for a baby. Although there was never a doubt we would be together forever, I think we both were just not quite ready. At the baby shower, Cody was acting strange and Britni could tell that something was up. She even ask her mom, Christy, if he seemed to be avoiding her. Right before the opening of gifts, it was announced that Cody was to give the first gift, he got down on one knee in front of 8 month pregnant Britni and the crowd and started speaking. "This is it" Thought Britni! Holding her breath and Cody presented a ring to her. To her surprise he stated it was a promise ring and vowed to always be there for her. It was so sweet!

The real proposal took place on Britni's very first mother's day. 12 a.m. to be exact. Cody woke Britni up and told her to close her eyes.  She did and when the 'okay' was given she opened her eyes to find Cody kneeling in front of her with a ring. "Will you marry me?" He asked. Britni (half asleep) replied "are you serious?" with a nervous yes Cody grabbed Britni's hand. Britni gave a surprised laugh and said "YES!"
