John and I met 10 years ago on an on-line dating site.  Our first date was at Eat and Park in Bethal.  We clicked together almost immediately and began dating.  That summer was filled with country concerts and spending lots of time together.  And then we would have a dispute, break up, seperate and do it all over again for the next three years or so.  The last fight was terrible and neither thought we would ever get together again so we went our seperate ways and live our lives the best we could.  John continued to date but I decided to marry someone else.  Over time, we began to talk again, I became his mom's case manager, and we became friends.  Then my marriage ended due to his passing and John was there to support me as a friend.  We discovered that our friendship had become more than that and we began to date quietly. 

 

A funny thing happened once we started dating again.  We smiled....ALOT!  We found a quiet happiness that made it seem right to be together.  And in planning for a family vacation for all of our kids to meet, a proprosal occurred that just seemed to be the natural occurance for our relationship.

An official proprosal on bended knee in front of Cinderella Castle at Disney World and a dream wedding with family and friends attending in October at Disney World seemed to be the best way to celebrate a love that never really ended through the years.  This is truely our Happily Ever After.
