When I first met Devin he was a guy that I worked with (not in the same store but the same company and we all talked quite a bit throughout the day). I always enjoyed talking with him and was able to call him a good friend within a few months because we had so much in common and he was so easy to talk to. When I moved to California for that short time, he and I fell out of touch for a little while. He was dating someone and so was I, and so we went our separate ways for a while. It wasn't until I moved back and started working at Verizon again that he and I begin talking again. I didn't think of him as more than a friend because he was still dating the same girl.
Shortly after I came back to work at Verizon I thought of him as one of my best friends, one the of best I've ever had. He helped me through some tough times and I did the same for him when he and his girlfriend broke up. It wasn't until after they broke up that I realized I had started falling in love with him. I was too scared to ruin our friendship so I said no the first few times he asked me on a date. He and I talked and it became clear that nothing could ruin our friendship and so I said "yes". That was the best decision I've ever made. It was like finding the piece of me that I didn't even know was missing.
Everyday since has been a blessing. He has made me a better, stronger person and I truly couldn't be any more blessed. I thank God for Devin as often as I can because the only way to begin to comprehend how we ended up together is because God wanted us to be.
